Sustainability
We only have one earth, and we all have to do our part to keep it happy. Gourmet for Good strives to balance sustainability with real-world office functionality.
Sustainability
Gourmet for Good is always looking for ways to integrate sustainable practices into our packaging and production. We are working to reduce our impact on the environment while maintaining competitive pricing and our signature presentation.
Current daily business practices include:
Sustainable Packaging:
Our box sandwiches come in clear plastic containers called Bottle Boxes® (www.thebottlebox.com). Each box contains 2 post-consumer, recycled water bottles. They are, in turn, 100% recyclable. Our GreenLine® trays (www.finelinesettings.com/ReForm-Caterware) are made from 99% recycled materials, and our napkins are made from 100% recycled materials as well.
In-House Recycling:
In addition to using as much post-consumer packaging as we can, and sending recyclable packaging to our clients, we recycle as much of our in-house packaging as we can. Everything from cardboard boxes, to glass and metal jars, to plastic tubs, and office paper. We recycle more material than we send to the landfill.
Energy Conservation:
We have installed “on demand” hot water heaters. These units heat only the water that is needed, when it is needed, instead of an entire tank that heats all the time. We also have compact florescent lighting that is more energy efficient than incandescent lighting. To be more fuel efficient, we use special routing software that minimizes the delivery driver’s time on the road.
Friendly, Professional & On Time Corporate Catering
Feeling confident and comfortable with a caterer for your business is important. Working with a knowledgeable, informed staff is essential. Knowing your food will delivered on time is crucial. We recognize and address these concerns. From your initial phone call to our prompt, delicious meals, Gourmet for Good provides corporate professionalism in catering.
